ATHENS, Texas – The National RV Training Academy (NRVTA) today announced the receipt of a sizeable donation of equipment from RV Mobile Power (RVMP).
Based in Columbus, Ohio, RVMP donated 10 brand new Flex Power 4000i dual fuel generators as well as 10 new Flex Temp on-demand tankless water heaters for use in NRVTA’s hands-on labs. Valued at more than $33,000, the equipment will allow students to better understand how generators and tankless water heaters work so they can properly diagnose and repair devices in the field, said Todd Henson, NRVTA director of education.
“RVMP has been providing generators and water heaters to RV owners as aftermarket equipment for several years, but the company is about to enter the OEM market to have devices installed on RVs at the factories,” said Henson. “Consequently, RVMP wants a network of technicians in the field who know how to properly service their products.
“Thanks to RVMP’s generosity, our students will have the opportunity to learn, hands-on, how to install the equipment and perform routine maintenance on it as well as how to properly diagnose and repair any problems that may develop,” he added. “RVMP benefits because our students will have the knowledge and working skills to address problems to get RV owners back on the road even faster.”
RVMP was founded in 2018 by professionals with more than 20 years of experience working in the RV, trailer and motorcoach industry, said Brian Carmichael, chief operating officer.
“Our staff loves spending time in the outdoors in the endless pursuit of adventure. We get wonderful satisfaction from getting away from societal noise and camping ‘off grid’ with our friends and family,” he said. “Consequently, one of our driving goals at RVMP is to design, manufacture and sell products which help everyone enjoy this same type of experience.”
The generators and tankless water heaters developed by RVMP, like many of the firm’s other proprietary products, are designed to be energy efficient, he added.
